Chateau des Moines Malbec
Tasting notes
Vintage 2022 :
The Malbec cuvee reveals a deep violet-tinged color. The nose is harmonious and complex, with a bouquet of violet, blackcurrant, and black truffle hints.
On the palate, the wine’s ageing in amphora contributes to provide an elegant structure, enveloping the palate, with ripe black plum and licorice flavors. This cuvee pairs wonderfully with a perfectly grilled duck breast. Good ageing potential of 10 years.
Vintage 2020 :
Atypical Lalande de Pomerol wine made from Malbec grapes.
This deep-colored vintage, with hints of violets and licorice, is rich in substance, with its characteristic plum and smoky notes on the palate, supported by a spicy finish. Beautiful structure, a rich, full-bodied wine.
To be enjoyed with a well-stocked cheese platter, or with tapas based on
spicy meat or cold cuts.
